Yoga can be indeed a transformational practice and science of life that enriches you from toes until top and beyond. It’s said to be the method of integrating heart, head and body and expanding one’s consciousness.

How can we – besides our practice on the mat – embrace yoga in our daily life style?

One of the most important parts of the Patanjali Yog Sutras says “Yoga Chitti Vritti Nirodha”. It means controlling the fluctuations of the mind is yoga.

Asana, Pranayama and Kriyas are important parts of yoga and eventually lead to more calmness and stability mentally, emotionally and physically. Understanding the philosophy about yoga and depth of matter is important to apply yoga into your daily life.

It’s not only about the physical practice, flexibility or strength. It’s about being able to live yoga by heart and using its philosophy as guidance to present moments.

1.Speak your Truth

An important part of yoga is truth. Being truthful and speaking truth has a big impact. No matter where you are at, always stick to your truth and speak from your heart.

2.Avoid and remove toxic relationships

Toxic relationships that waste your energy and literally drain you, are of no use. Try to avoid such relationship and remove them from your circle. It doesn’t serve you!

3.Surround yourself by supportive people

The people around you have a lot of influence and can lift you up in difficult times. Make sure you are surrounded by supportive people who know your worth when you need it the most.

4.Take each moment as it comes

Life is full of surprises, ups, downs, joy and not so joyful moments. Go with it and take each situation as it comes. Life can be hard, strange, painful sometimes. Just accept it as it is. After the rain comes sunshine!

5.Take difficult situations as opportunities to grow

Life throws all kinds of events and situations at us. Nobody is always lucky and happy. It’s the nature of things, that sometimes hardships ocurs and we need to manage something extremely overwhelming. In yoga we believe that these moments are given to us in order to grow, become stronger and learn from our mistakes, make it better next time.
