My name is Iris, and I’m from the Netherlands. I recently completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Gyan Yog Breath, and I can genuinely say that it was an eye-opening experience that changed the way I see yoga, my body, and even life itself. I had been practicing yoga for a few years, but this training gave me so much more than I expected. The depth of knowledge, the incredible teachers, and the transformative techniques made it a truly unique journey.
One of the most powerful experiences for me was the Emotional Blockage Treatment. I had heard about it before coming here, but nothing could have prepared me for how profound and healing it would be. Through this technique, I was able to release deep-seated emotional tension that I didn’t even realize I was holding. It felt like a huge weight had been lifted, and I walked away feeling lighter, freer, and more at peace with myself. This was one of the biggest takeaways from the training for me, and I know it will stay with me forever.
Another part of the course that I found particularly inspiring was the focus on Kids Yoga and Prenatal Yoga. As someone who has always loved working with children, I was amazed at how much thought and care went into these modules. We learned how to adapt yoga to children’s needs, making it fun, engaging, and accessible. The prenatal yoga sessions were just as insightful, showing us how to support women through pregnancy with safe and effective postures and breathing techniques. I never expected to be so drawn to this aspect of yoga, but now I feel passionate about teaching these groups in the future.
The Ayurveda teachings were another highlight for me. Learning about doshas, diet, and natural healing methods was fascinating and helped me understand my body in a whole new way. The way Ayurveda and yoga come together at Gyan Yog Breath makes this training holistic and well-rounded, giving students tools to apply in everyday life, not just on the mat.
Finally, the wisdom about asana and its therapeutic applications was beyond anything I had learned before. We didn’t just practice postures; we learned how to modify them for different needs, injuries, and therapeutic contexts. This level of detail and understanding has given me so much confidence as a future teacher, knowing that I can truly support my students in a meaningful way. I am so grateful for this experience, and I cannot recommend Gyan Yog Breath highly enough.
